Me in a Nut Shell

I am a 54 year old Texan and not related to anyone who has ever held public office. I don’t own a horse or an oil well. I am an Educational Diagnostician who works in Public Education.

I am a mother and grandmother. Being a grandmother is the best thing since sliced bread. I am the consummate SOG–Silly Old Grandmother.

I graduated with honors from Texas A&M with a B.A. in English. I have a Masters degree in Secondary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have over thirty hours over a Masters in diagnostic measures and testing. I specialize in evaluating children for learning disabilities under Special Education Law.

I love to read. I am forever looking for the best books and read daily. I love spending time with my children and grandchilden, and talking on the phone with family and friends. I, however, relish my time alone and could survive as a hermit as long as I had a book to read. I love to travel and wish I was rich so I could do this more. So, I save money until I have enough to finance my vacations.

I am a very spiritual person who prays daily but does not attend church. I became disenchanted with the whole church process years ago and started my own personal relationship with God. I feel God listens to me and guides me daily and protects my family without me having to set foot into a church.
